Opened : 1893 Original Name : Cannington Station History : Cannington Station was one of the
original stations built along the south-west line that would eventually
join up
with Bunbury. Cannington Station was the
original terminus of the suburban passenger services from Perth, along
that line. The current Cannington Station was constructed in the early
1990's, the previous (original) station was
located along the line to the south of the current station, the only
reminders
of where this station was, is the
old station car park and a railway siding, along the line.
