This is temp
coal stage built for the PM loco's engaged in re-ballasting the EGR
during the 1950s and into 1960. The loco and the crew were stationed at
Boorabbin, because of the close proximity of a large granite
outcrop being quarried for ballast. This ballast quarry was served by a spur line swinging N/W about a mile west of Boorabbin (Info supplied by Bernie Morris).
