Opened : 1893?
Original Name : Cunderdin
Station History : Again this
is another station, I don't have too much information on, all I know is,
the original Station, was in the centre of town, where
the Great Eastern HWY, cuts through, evidence of this is the Water
tower, on the side of the road, where the Cunderdin Pumping Station is located.
The Original Cunderdin Station was an wooden building , the typical station
design along the Eastern Railway. The Station and original railway, were
pulled
up in around the early 1970's, after the standard gauge track had been constructed
on the outskirts of the town in 1966. Once the old station and track were
removed, the Great Eastern HWY was layed down in there place.
Recently the standard gauge station, has been upgraded with a access ramp
for people getting on or off the Prospector services. Along with the
2 station shelters, there is a large wheat silo, an old 1960's goods shed
and crane.
