Brookton Station, 26th of April 2005

Built :  June 1889
Original Name : Seabrook (1889 - ?), Brookton (? - present)
Station History : Brookton was opened in 1889, as a siding, called Seabrook, (named after the first settler in the area, John Seabrook), how
ever confusion over the name with another siding called Seabrook, situated near Northam, caused for a name change to Brookton.
Brookton Station was once a junction along the Great Southern Railway, as it had a branch line leading off from it to Corrigin, which passed through Aldersyde.
Today the station's building is used as an Art Gallery for local Artists.
