Oamaru is located on the east coast of the south island of New Zealand.

Oamaru Station is on the Christchurch to Inverchargill Railway, located between Timaru and Dunedin.

Today the station only see goods trains passing by and shunting in the station yards, no regular passenger
services connect to Oamaru Station.
