Palmerston
Station
Palmerston
Station, 17th of October 2005
Palmerston
is located on east coast of the south island of New Zealand.
Palmerston Station is located on the Christchurch to Inverchargill
Railway, between Dunedin and Timaru.
The Station today is used as a
Restaurant and Bar and as a stopping place for tourist trains running
from Dunedin.
Palmerston was once an important town, in the gold rush days and even
to this day, the town is the turn off point for
the largest gold mine in New Zealand (Oceana's Macraes Mine)
