Located on the Picton to Northcliffe
Railway Line, between Kirup and Greenbushes.
Details of
Balingup.
Goods shed was the same style as the Donnybrook Goods Shed.
Overhead water tank was similar to the one at Boyanup.
Water Tank was located in the area behind the Fire Station.
The old railway dam is still in use as a private water supply.
Patterson’s and Co Packing shed, had it’s own siding which was
located on the north side of the building.
The Goods Shed was located directly opposite the Railway Station.
The Goods Shed was sold and moved to someone out in the
Wheatbelt?.
The Railway Station was demolished in 1978-9? By W.A.G.R, the
station was identical to the building at Greenbushes
It was replaced with a platform (as seen in the picture above)
and a small colourbond shed.
The Greenbushes Goods Shed was sold to a local farmer in Balingup
who erected it about 100 metres from
the Balingup one. This building was relocated again two years ago to
the other side of town.
