Located on the Old Midland Railways Line, from Midland to Walkway, Chandala is situated between the former station of Muchea and the historic station
of Gingin. Up until recently Chandala Siding saw frequent locomotive action as a small coal train would deliver coal to the Sands plant  located at the siding,
however now this service by rail has ceased and the tracks to plant grow rusty.
