Station History : Mingenew Station is a unique station along the Midland Railway line, as it is a stone constructed station, most of the other Stations along
the line were either weatherboard or brick. Mingenew was also classified as a 1st class station and had a refreshment room as well as a station masters
quarters. Station masters were here throughout the history of this stations passenger services (16th of August 1891 - 28th of June 1985).

There was also a locomotive depot at Mingenew and it was a crew change over point. A triangle was located at the station for turning locomotives and
in steam days, water was used from the nearby Erragulla Springs.

In 1974 the station masters quarters and office were demolished and a few years back the goods shed (constructed in 1966) was also demolished only
leaving the refreshment room (which was built in 1947), ladies and gents toilets and the station building.
