Mogumber Station

1
Mogumber Station, 25th of February 2006

Opened : 22nd of Feb, 1892
Original Name : Moore River (1892 -1894), Mogumber (1894 - present)
Station History : The station was opened as Moore River, but after a couple of years it was renamed to Mogumber in July 1894. The Stations buildings,
included a station masters quarters and a refreshment room used in the early days, were all built of weatherboard. There was a station master in attendance
from when the station opened until the 1st of December 1978. Today the stations siding is still open as a train order crossing station and also used by a CBH
grain storage bin.

However today the Station building has been demolished, this happened sometime in the past two years, as I visited Mogumber in February 2005 and notice
that the station building was long gone, along with the old station sign and in it's place is a new station sign and toilet.
